Trusting God’s Timing |
Scripture
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
Today’s Thought
Waiting is one of the greatest tests of faith.
Most of us enjoy answered prayer. Few of us enjoy waiting for the answer.
Abraham waited years for the promised son. Joseph waited in prison before becoming Egypt’s governor. David waited to become king after he had already been anointed. Even the disciples waited for the coming of the Holy Spirit.
God’s delays are never wasted.
While we wait, He is often preparing us for what He has already planned. He develops patience, deepens our faith, and teaches us to depend upon Him rather than ourselves.
We often pray, “Lord, change my circumstances.”
God often answers, “First, let Me change you.”
Waiting does not mean God has forgotten you. It means He is working according to His perfect wisdom.
The God who created time is never late.
When the right moment arrives, He accomplishes His purposes perfectly.
What’s It Mean?
God’s timing may test your patience, but it will never disappoint your faith.
Prayer
Father, teach me to trust Your timing instead of demanding my own. Give me patience while I wait and confidence that You are working for my good and Your glory. Amen.
Today’s Challenge
Think about one prayer you are still waiting for God to answer. Thank Him today for working even while you wait.
