Meet Pastor Alan
I’m Pastor Alan Holden—a longtime pastor, Bible teacher, and ministry leader with a heart for helping people understand Scripture clearly and confidently. When you want to know more about me or my background, you’ll find it here, where it’s all about connecting personally.
I grew up in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in South Carolina, where I learned early the values of faith, hard work, and consistency. I was saved and baptized at age twelve at Coneross Baptist Church, a congregation that took discipleship seriously and encouraged young believers to grow through service and teaching. Again, my story is about roots in tradition and growth.
For decades, I’ve served churches and communities through preaching, teaching, and pastoral leadership. Along the way, I noticed a common struggle among believers: many people love the Bible, but feel unsure how to interpret it or apply it with confidence. My experience is all about supporting others along their faith journey.
That burden gave birth to What’s It Mean? — Making Bible Subjects Simple. The entire effort is about equipping believers with clarity.
My teaching style is clear, calm, and grounded in biblical context. I believe faith is not a blind leap, but an informed trust in what God has spoken. My goal is not to impress with complexity, but to illuminate the meaning of Scripture so God’s people can read the Bible with understanding, assurance, and joy. That’s what I’m about as a teacher.
